How It Works for Sleep It shows you simple phrases which you may think about instead of racing thoughts; the repeated fade in, fade out may be tiresome for your eyes and you may soon feel sleepy.
The Gentle Task: You are given a simple phrase. Your task is to imagine that phrase. Instead of thinking about something you don't like, you may be thinking about red apple, river flowing etc. The Eye-Heavy Effect: As you repeatedly see fade in and fade out, your eyes may become tired. This is a key mechanism. You are instructed to not resist this feeling. If your eyes feel heavy, put the phone down and go to sleep. The session is for 30 minutes. The goal is not to complete the 30-minute session; the goal is to fall asleep even before it ends.
